Learning outcomes

The course provides the theoretical framework needed to understand the functioning of the economy as a whole. Macroeconomics studies what determines the level and rate of change of a few aggregate variables, which represent the fundamentals of the economic system, namely gross domestic product and income, price level and unemployment, as well as the rate of interest and the exchange rate.
