Learning outcomes

This course present the theory of value creation within firms as a branch of management able to develop a synthesis of student's skills learnt by previous courses based on the analysis of firm's (both at individual and consolidated level) management tools and growth processes. Strategic management, Organization Theory, Accounting and Financial statements understanding and analyzing, ability in national and international financial market data analysis are the milestones needed in order to correctly use the broad range of economic value's measurement methods, which differs according to different measurement objectives and context.

Syllabus

Description of Lessons Methods.
The course is organized in eleven weekly lessons which will take three hours each. At the end of each lesson the teachers will communicate the textbook's chapter to be read for the following week, which will constitute also the base both for classroom discussions and for individual exercises which will be take in consideration on the occasion of the final valuation.
P.S.: The students who will not attend the course, are requested to study chapter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28 of the textbook.

Assessment methods and criteria

The exam is in written form both for attending and for non-attending students. Students are also required to pass an oral exam that is complementary to the written test.
