Curriculum

Angelo Bonfanti is Associate Professor of Business management since 2016. In 2006 he earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration, Management and Economics from the University of Naples “Parthenope”. Since 2016, he is Coordinator of Department Research. He has been in charge for the Quality Assurance of the Master’s degree in Business Management (Direzione Aziendale) from 2017 to 2018. He is President of the Teaching Committee of Business (Verona), since 2018. Since 2015, he is the Coordinator of the University Course entitled “Living, working and producing sustainably”, organized by the Sustainability Commission of which he is a member.
Since 2001 he is a member of the editorial review team of Sinergie Italian Journal of Management (formerly Sinergie rivista di studi e ricerche). Since 2017, he is a member of the advisory group of the Journal of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Since 2015, he is reviewer of several international journals such as Journal of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Journal of Service Marketing, International Journal of Environment and Health, Management Decision, Sustainability, and The TQM Journal.
Since 2017, he is General Secretary of the CUEIM Foundation.
 
His main research interests include:
  • service marketing and management, especially retail and hospitality management
  • entrepreneurship, especially social entrepreneurship
His works have been mostly published in international refereed journals. Some publications presented at the Toulon-Verona International Conference “Excellence in Services” received the title of Best paper award, while other papers presented at the national conference Sinergie-SIMA were awarded by the scientific committee as selected paper for publication in the Journal.
He won, along with Vania Vigolo, Jackie Douglas and Claudio Baccarani the outstanding paper (2017) for the paper entitled “Servicescape navigation”, published in The TQM Journal.
 
Among Third Mission activities, in 2017 he participated in Researchers’ Night in the field of scientific method and organized the meeting entitled “The University of Verona at the Festival of Sustainable Development”, the results of which are published in the journal Quaderni di Economia Sociale.

Confartigianato: profile and service needs of the members
The research group intends to investigate the characteristics and problems of the management of the trade associations and the need to employ managerial tools to improve the quality of the services provided by the associations to their members.
Customer experience in services industry
The research group aims to investigate how services organizations - especially in the retail and hospitality industry - can improve customer experience.
Enterprise 4.0 and digital transformation for micro, small and medium businesses in Verona
The research group acts in synergy with Punto Impresa Digitale of the Chamber of Commerce to provide answers to the digital development needs of 100 Verona’s firms and is linked to the analogous research group at the Department of Computer Science.
Business model in the digital era
The research group Business model in the digital era aims at exploring, studying and analyzing the complex phenomenon of digitization in a business and managerial perspective.
Paths of business innovation
The research group aims to investigate the phenomenon of business innovation in its many manifestations in order to better understand the nature and complexity of the managerial and organizational challenges faced by companies wishing to compete in terms of innovation.
