Curriculum

Cecilia Rossignoli is Full Professor in Organization Science (SECS P/10) since 2012. She graduated in Economics from the University of Padua (Verona) in 1981. She is coordinator and teacher in the PhD program in Economics and Business Management for "Organization Theory" module of the Graduate School of Economics and Management (Gsem), University of Verona and University of Padua. She is a member of ASN Scientific Sector SECS-P/10, Organizational Science. She is Senior Editor of the international scientific journal “Information System Management” Published By Taylor & Francis, USA and member of the Editorial Review Board of "Journal of Business Research" Published By Elsevier. Since 2012 she has been Director of the Executive Master in ICT Management at the CUOA of Altavilla Vicentina, Master first provided at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Verona where she was Director from 2001 to 2012. She is scientific coordinator of the ICT Forum of the CUOA Foundation. She is a member of AIS, Association of Information Systems, a worldwide association that brings together scholars in the field of Information Systems. She is President (since 2015) and founding member of the Italian Division of AIS, an emanation of AIS International (USA) with headquarters at Luiss University in Rome.
 
Her main research interests are:
  • the new business models for the competitiveness of SMEs.
  • dynamic capabilities and business intelligence systems
  • the strategic role of the chief information officer (CIO)
  • the evolution of ICT based organizational forms: beyond the classical hierarchy market scheme and the new distributed organizational forms (network organizations)
  • organizational impact of information systems in public government and institutions

Research groups

Digital Transformation and organizational impacts
The Research Group aims to study the organizational consequences deriving from the Digital Transformation. In particular, it focuses on changes in the organization of work, in strategic-managerial orientations and in the sustainability of companies. Digital Transformation is not configured as a mere business process of investment in information systems, but concerns the ability of the companies to implement them, modifying their processes, organizational structures, also favoring a process of development of human capital able to manage the challenge that it generates.
Enterprise 4.0 and digital transformation for micro, small and medium businesses in Verona
The research group acts in synergy with Punto Impresa Digitale of the Chamber of Commerce to provide answers to the digital development needs of 100 Verona’s firms and is linked to the analogous research group at the Department of Computer Science.
New organizational forms ICT-based
The objective of this research group is to investigate issues related to the development of new organizational forms deriving from the adoption of digital technologies and related collaborative platforms.
Managing healthcare in the new technology context
The international research group studies the impact of new technologies (e.g. social media) on the organization and management of public health. The analysis focuses in particular on how the technological evolution of the means of communication has led to the birth of organized online communities with which policy makers will increasingly have to deal with. In parallel, the group analyzes the changes in the dynamics of acceptance of new medical technologies by the community in the current context.
Sustainable business models and common goods
The concept of common goods can be used to identify all those systems that provide community resources for collective use, which are vulnerable to the opportunistic (over-exploitation and / or disengaging) behavior of that community of users.
New business models and business networks
The research activity is aimed at identifying indicators (KPI) and tools to monitor the performance of the companies that adhere to the network contract.
Organizing smart cities for a sustainable future
The group's goal is to contribute to scientific literature by studying the impact of smart cities for a more sustainable and resilient future. The group aims to analyze the phenomenon of smart cities and its implications to understand its impact on organizations and society as a whole in different contexts.

SMACT è uno degli 8 Centri di Competenza industria 4.0 nati in Italia su impulso del Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico. E' una partnership pubblico-privata che mette a sistema le competenze in ambito 4.0 della ricerca, dei provider di tecnologie e delle imprese early adopter. SMACT nasce nel Triveneto raggruppando stakeholder con capacità ed esperienza nella Digital Transformation, per permettere all’intero sistema produttivo e sociale di affrontare il futuro e creare valore.
Business process reengineering in health care system and eHealth
Through an interdisciplinary study, the aim of the research group is to analyze and evaluate the impacts that new technologies have on organizational structures and patients.
Smart Cities and sustainable entrepreneurship
The group's contribution is to support through longitudinal studies, natural experiments and comparative analysis in the field of smart cities, to improve the understanding of various impact factors that influence the capacity for innovation, resilience, sustainability, and quality of life of citizens in the cities.
Smart working and new forms of work organization
The group aims to analyze the organizational implications and the impact on companies of the new remote working methods, such as smart working. The group's goal is also to provide information on how this approach to work organization can actually make a contribution to the creation of value within the company itself and obtain positive effects on the organizational climate.
