Since 2014: Associate Professor at the Department of Business Administration at the University of Verona. In 1990 he obtained his Ph.D. in Economics and Agricultural Policy at the University of Milan. Since the academic year 2018/2019, he is Director and President of the Scientific Committee of the Professional Course in Politics and Governance of the Territory. He is member of the scientific committee of the Master in Economics and Law of International Exchanges of the Department of Juridical Sciences of the University of Verona from the academic year 2017/2018. He teach since 2017 at Master in Trade and international Strategies at University of Bordeaux, France. Since 2001, he is member of the board and treasurer of the Italian Academy of Vine and Wine
 
His main fields of research are:
  • management and organization of agricultural and winemaking enterprises
  • common agricolture policy and territorial governance
  • agri-food policies
Over than 100 publications are mainly on the research sector SH1_9 - Marketing and on the following topics: Denominations of origins and geographical indications; Common organization of the wine markets.
He has been coordinator of research projects financed at national level on European wine policy and its consequences on international markets.
He is editorialist of Italian QN Agro-Economy newspapers: Il Giorno, Il Resto del Carlino and La Nazione.
