The course aims at outlining the social and economic evolution of Europe between the eighteenth and the twentieth century. It is divided into two parts: a general one, which is the same for all the students, and a special one. As far as the special part is concerned, the students can choose between two different options: a) manufactures and industries in central-eastern Valle Padana; b) political economists and philanthropists in Italy after the Unification.
